Differences between knitted and woven fabrics
12-19
Knitted fabrics generally refer to textiles woven with rib needles or other patterns and colors. They are characterized by elasticity, good permeability, diverse patterns, and complex processes, including manual knitting and special computer weaving machines. The cotton sweaters (called Qiuyi in the north) and sweaters we often see fall into this category.
Woven fabrics generally refer to the textiles woven by ordinary vertical and horizontal knitting methods. They are generally woven on a textile machine. Their characteristics are dense and inelastic. Most of the fabrics we often see are woven fabrics. Knitted fabric is "weft knitted fabric", which is characterized by elasticity. Often, there are cotton wool cloth, undershirt, etc.
Woven fabrics are composed of warp and weft threads, which are inelastic. The common fabrics are plain cotton cloth and khaki cloth.
The outerwear is multi-purpose woven fabric, and the underwear is multi-purpose knitted fabric.
